Policy to transform Zim launched |

The policy that will open Zimbabwe for business, usher in substantive reforms in various sectors with the sole objective of spurring economic growth, restore our collective dignity and creating jobs for the millions of unemployed Zimbabweans has been launched.
The policy was launched Friday at a colorful ceremony held at the Jubilee Christian Centre in Harare.

Court postpones hearing into PM staffers’ case |

Four staffers in the Prime Minister’s Office had their way in court on Thursday after Magistrate Tendai Mahwe agreed to postpone their matter to 3 June following the State’s failure to release papers to the defence on time.
The four, Thabani Mpofu, Felix Matsinde, Warship Dumba and Mehluli Tshuma who were facing three charges when the trial date was set are now facing 14 charges.

|
PM staffers trial moved to Thursday |

The Trial for Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai’s staffers who are facing charges of contravening the Official Secrets Act has been postponed to Thursday after the presiding magistrate failed to turn up.
The defense counsel representing Thabani Mpofu, Felix Matsinde, Warship Dumba and Mehluli Tshuma who were arrested in March this year together with prominent human rights lawyer Beatrice Mthetwa described the no-show by the magistrate as an attempt to keep the PM staffers in suspense.

PM takes children to register |

In a sign of leadership, Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai, on Monday, took his twin children Vincent and Millicent, who have turned 18 to Mount Pleasant District Offices to register as voters.
He urged parents and guardians to encourage first time voters to ensure that they register for the forthcoming elections.

Africa has come out in full support of Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai’s push for reforms ahead of the watershed elections scheduled towards the end of the year.
In separate meetings with Prime Minister Tsvangirai who was on a diplomatic tour to appraise SADC and the AU on the political situation in the country, the Heads of State and Government said they were watching the electoral process and were in support of Facilitator President Jacob Zuma’s efforts.
SADC and the AU are the curators of the Global Political Agreement which led to the formation of the inclusive Government.
Prime Minister Tsvangirai held meetings with the Facilitator President Zuma, SADC Organ Troika Chair, President Jakaya Kikwete of Tanzania,Gabon, Nigerian and Botswana Presidents, Ali Bongo Ondimba, Goodluck Jonathan and Seretse Khama Ian Khama respectively.
