There is absolutely nothing to cheer about. Why does the president give the altimate decision on the two nominees. The Local Provincial assembly should chose the person they feel will best represent the interest of the region without needing to forward the two candidates to the sitting president.
We also do not know who will have the right to sack the provincial governor if he/she fails to improve the lives of the people in the province.
How much power will the Provincial Assembly have and how much power will the Governor have? What sort of budget will they control and can they have different policies from the rest of the country to attract investment to their region .
This is completely a grey area we need more information about the small prints, otherwise there is no deal.
